چکیده
The management of patients with massive burns remains a challenge. Early burn wound excision followed by timely coverage are key factors successful surgical treatment. As donor sites extremely limited, requires intermediate and expansion grafts. Although high expansions rates 1:6 to 1:9 feasible, they commonly known result in poor graft stability subpar aesthetic outcome. This report aims illustrate how the availability three different large-scale laboratory grown autologous tissues used combination NovoSorb® BTM allowed not only complete coverage, but also provided for highly favourable outcome patient surviving 95% total body surface area (TBSA). We present case 14-year-old who sustained deep flame involving TBSA. Only his feet an on scalp were spared, yielding 630 cm2 available site area. A sterile 40 split thickness biopsy was taken from patient‘s left foot day injury. divided simultaneous production cultured epithelial autografts (CEAs) dermo-epidermal (CDEAs) Lausanne, as well Zurich Skin/denovoSkin (dS), complex skin substitute, Zurich. Over course 5 months, 49 procedures performed. 60% TBSA covered while remaining received fresh frozen allografts. For definitive grafts (30% TBSA), CEAs/CDEAs (53% Skin/dS (12% TBSA) applied, translating ratios 1:8, 1:383, 1:131, respectively. Graft take excellent all types no relevant infectious complications. Sophisticated treatment strategies innovative methods led overall this massively burned teenager. challenge mastered applying allografts BTM. is first showing up 1:383 sequential use variants substitutes. novel approach promising burns.
